An Informative and Enjoyable Gun Range Experience

We want to make this the most comfortable and educational gun range experience for you. Below is a list of things, you will need to know before entering the range.

LEARN GUN RANGE RULES AND SAFETY FOR THE OPTIMAL EXPERIENCE

1. Proper Attire

Proper attire is vital for your safety. No open-toe or heeled shoes are permitted on the range. No slippers, sandals, or Crocs are allowed.

2. Complete Online Waiver

The online safety waiver is REQUIRED before shooting or reserving lanes, this includes a seven-minute Safety & Etiquette Video and all shooters are required to complete this annually (1 -Year) to ensure a clear understanding of our range rules and proper etiquette for your safety and other’s while on the range.  You can do this upon your arrival at the iPad Kiosks at the Membership Desk or you can save time complete online.

Start your waiver now If you are a novice or a first-time shooter, don’t worry about it. We have expertly trained staff available to give you a more in-depth safety brief and help make you more comfortable with firearms and range safety. We are here to ensure you have the best experience possible.

3. Eye and Ear Protection

We do require safety glasses and over-ear hearing protection to be worn at all times.

4. Rental Gun Policy

SGR does provide rentals to shooters. Only if:
– You have another person with you or
– You bring in you own personal firearm to the range.

You must be 21 and older and have a valid government state ID or passport with you as it is needed to rent a firearm.

Due to California law, people that are under 21 years of age are not allowed to handle firearm rentals at SGR. They are only allowed to handle firearms that are provided by a parent or legal guardian. 

5. Firearm and Ammo Review

If you are bringing your own firearm and ammunition with you to the range, it must meet our safety specifications before being allowed on the range. If you have any questions about this, please contact us.

6. Range Rules

Ensure you have thoroughly read through the Range Rules.

7. Permitted Tourists

 In compliance with US Federal Law, International tourists visiting the US under the Visa Waiver Program may legally purchase ammunition, rent firearms and/or shoot at Sacramento Gun Range.
